Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers a mix of a room experience, from spacious and well-kept to some in need of maintenance. The staff is friendly and accommodating, although recruitment challenges may impact service quality. The location is excellent for access to the Albert Hall and other major attractions but a bit of a walk to the tube. The dining options are varied, with some exceptional choices alongside occasional misses in taste. Overall, a comfortable stay with some room for improvement.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and HUGE, but some furniture looked slightly battered. The service was varied, with some staff being very nice and helpful, while others failed to meet expectations. The location was perfect, near everything in Kensington. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with some aspects being very good and others disappointing.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location was fantastic, close to various attractions, but the room fell short in terms of space and amenities. The service was friendly, but I did expect more given the price. The dining options were average, and the facilities were decent.
The hotel room was a bit small for today's gadget-dependent guest and the bed felt petite. Unfortunately, there were limited dining options locally, and the hotel restaurant was fully booked, leaving us unable to eat there.
The hotel's rooms were in a poor state of repair with silicone piled on silicone to stop leaks, and the toilet didn't flush properly. On a positive note, the room had a minstrel's gallery, dark wood panels, a fireplace, stained glass windows, and a bathroom with a large bathtub/shower. However, the decor was dated, and amenities like teabags, milk, and sugar were limited, all for a high price of £314 plus extra for breakfast.
My stay at the hotel was delightful with spacious and luxurious rooms featuring a beautiful view. The bed was great, but the room was a bit small, limiting space for luggage. Maintenance issues were evident with silicone piled up to stop leaks and a toilet that wouldn't flush properly.
The hotel is full of character, with really great rooms and a much nicer view, but they are lovely yet missing something. The service, particularly from Mate, was pleasant and helpful, going above normal customer service despite a bit of sharpness with another staff member. The location is beautiful, walking distance to Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park on a quiet street ideal for a good night's sleep. The dining experience was very fresh, although lacking in options on occasion. Overall, a great experience with a few minor flaws.
The hotel is set in a remarkable building with rich history. The rooms, as expected from such an old establishment, are small but packed with charm. The service is outstanding, especially from Mate who went above and beyond to enhance our stay. The location is perfect for exploring iconic London attractions and immersing in the city's beauty. The dining experience, although mostly good, had a minor hiccup with one dish. The facilities cater to our essential needs but could have offered a bit more.
I couldn't have asked for a better hotel halfway across the globe. The rooms were clean, spacious, and incredibly quiet, ensuring two nights of great sleep. While the rooms were on the smaller side, they were clean, functional, and perfect for our needs as we spent most of our time exploring the city.
I had a delightful stay at the hotel, with its cozy rooms and exceptional service. The location was perfect for my plans, though the dining experience left a bit to be desired. Overall, a great value for the money.
